DAY 3 — Jesus Redefines Leadership

Many of us learned leadership by watching power at work—who decided, who spoke last, and who was expected to comply. Jesus interrupts those assumptions with a single, clarifying phrase: “Not so with you.” This devotion invites you to unlearn models of leadership shaped by control or fear and to encounter the kind of authority Jesus practices—one that serves, listens, and gives itself away for the good of others.

“Not so with you… whoever wants to be first must be servant of all.”

Devotional

Jesus directly rejects domination as leadership. In His kingdom, authority does not protect power—it gives it away. Any model of leadership that requires fear, silence, or obedience at the cost of truth is not Christlike.
